Solar-Drying Processing: What We Do for Other Farmers

In short: Alongside growing and selling our own dry grapes, MM Rooted Ventures is building a solar-drying processing service for other farmers and MSMEs — dehydrating fruits, vegetables and flowers into dried products, powders or malts, including white-label processing for someone else's brand. This is a separate line of business from our grape products, and it does not include grapes — those stay exclusively our own.

Why this is a separate business line at all

A lot of small farmers and food MSMEs in the Theni area grow or process fruits and vegetables but don't have access to hygienic, consistent drying infrastructure of their own. Building that capacity once, on our farm, and making it available to others is a more efficient use of the solar-drying investment than only ever running it for our own grape harvest.

What it covers

The service is built around dehydrating fruits, vegetables and flowers into finished dried products, powders, or malts. It can run as white-label processing — meaning the farmer or MSME's own brand goes on the final packaging, not ours — which matters for businesses that want to control their own product identity while using our facility and process.

Where things stand honestly

This service is tied directly to the same solar-drying facility we've written about separately — the structure is built, and several pieces of equipment (racks, climate control, a dedicated packaging line) are still being added. We're building this out deliberately rather than promising processing capacity we can't yet deliver at scale.

The short answer

Processing services is MM Rooted Ventures' second pillar: solar-drying capacity for other people's fruits, vegetables and flowers — never grapes — built on the same farm infrastructure as our own products, and growing alongside it.
